Peter Ludlow is a University of Michigan philosophy professor who was expelled from the Sims Online community in late 2003. Ludlow through his avatar Urizenus, set up a news site within Sims Online criticizing the ongoing social problems of the virtual community.
According to a news story Sims Online has fallen behind projected membership growth and apparently his expulsion was an effort by the company to improve the image of the site.
