Here is a biased look at other directories and what we think of them....
http://www.gnacademy.org/
- Good coverage of US, Canada. Some coverage of UK and Australia. Very few non English courses. Information sometimes dated. Browse interface slow
http://www.universities.com/ -has organized an extensive collection of post-secondary distance learning and on-campus colleges and universities
http://www.worldwidelearn.com/ - If you are looking for career training, take a look at this web page. They are starting to run into listing organization problems, but they have a lot of career training courses that we don't. Also if you go through their web site, you can get discounts on some universities, so even if you find a course on our site, you might want to register through theirs to see if you can get the discount.
http://www-icdl.open.ac.uk/ - Much better coverage of non-US, non-Canada courses than ours. This is something that you might want to look at if you are looking for things outside of North America.
Regional directories - You might want to do a google search for distance learning and your region. Typically regional directories provide more information than our database, the data is a bit fresher, and they also list courses and programs that aren't global.
As with other wiki guides, if you know of another directory, please feel free to add it here. However, expect to have that directoryy reviewed mercilessly.
