Apple Podcasts app now allows users to access Apple Music radio shows and Apple News+ content within its platform.

Different users started seeing the new experience this Monday through a new splash screen on their Podcast app. Through this new integration, Apple has officially made it possible for Apple Music and Apple News+ subscribers to access exclusive content right from the Podcasts platform.

As Apple announced during the WWDC 2023, the changes are part of its many plans included in the iOS 17 update:

  • Apple Music Radio on Apple Podcasts: Subscribers to Apple Music or Apple One will be able to listen to the entire catalog of award-winning, commercial-free Apple Music radio shows, hosted by leading artists, DJs, and tastemakers. For the first time, listeners will also be able to follow each show to automatically download and be notified of new episodes as soon as they’re released. New episodes of Apple Music Radio shows will stream live on Apple Music and be released on demand on Apple Music and Apple Podcasts simultaneously.
  • Audio stories from Apple News+ on Apple Podcasts: Subscribers to Apple News+ or Apple One will be able to listen to professionally narrated audio stories from the world’s leading magazines and newspapers. New audio stories will be released in Apple News and on Apple Podcasts simultaneously.

As mentioned earlier, however, the experience would only be possible if the users have their subscriptions both for Apple Music and Apple News+. For the former, the content can be accessed either from the Podcasts app’s Listen Now screen or the Channels in the Library tab.
