International Economics
This course in international trade studies the theories of trade which have been introduced over the years. Some of the positive phenomena include large increases in international trade volumes over the past 20 years, general reductions in tariff and quota levels, and the organization of free trade areas throughout the world. At the same time, however, there are increasing concerns about other barriers to trade such as voluntary export restraints (VERs), the inability of the European Community to completely integrate, increasing protectionist sentiment and more.
